The police report is compiled daily from the public record log of the Bandon Police Department. The information represents initial reports and not completed investigations, arrests or convictions.

Feb. 18

3:11 a.m., suspicious white Ford with front-end damage reported on Coquille Point.

3:37 a.m., suspicious white Jeep Cherokee reported on Beach Access 3.

1:14 p.m., report of the second-story window broken out of a home in the 1000 block of S.W. Sixth Street. Officer will notify Bandon Rentals.

4:18  p.m., a small two-door Honda was driving erratically near the intersection of Eighth and Jackson streets. Checked area; unable to locate. 5:11 p.m., a clerk at Tiffany’s Drug reports a suspicious male standing outside the store since 12:30 p.m. Officers were unable to locate subject.

6:20 p.m., woman reported neighbor’s child and dog are in her backyard in the 800 block of 10th Street. Both parties involved were contacted.

Feb. 19

7:42 a.m., report of windows broken by rocks in the 400 block of Elmira Avenue. Vandalism caused by a paint gun.

9:13 a.m., report of broken windows in the 600 block of Michigan Avenue.

10:23 a.m., citizen reporting his son is a runaway. Juvenile was found and returned to parent at 12:22 p.m. 10:45 a.m., report of windows broken in the 1100 block of Second Street.

11:00 p.m., citizen reported a man in his backyard.

11:13 p.m., 30-year-old man beating on a door in the 600 block of Southwest Bluff Street.

11:53 p.m., family dispute in the 600 block of Franklin Street.

Feb. 20

7:50 a.m., a 61-year-old male advised he needs a Bandon officer at the back of the police department. He was very agitated. When asked why, he said it was to do with drugs and his son. Subject transferred to Bay Area Hospital for a voluntary mental hold.

8:06 a.m., report of window broken on a van in the 1400 block of Beach Loop Drive.

9:06 a.m., report of a driver’s side bus window shot out by a paint gun on Beach Loop Drive. Is connected with other cases including windows broken at a residence in the 1300 block of Strawberry Drive and on a car in the 300 block of Ohio N.E.

10:50 a.m., subject reports phone harassment by an unknown caller. Caller is asking for Social Security number and ID information and hangs up when subject questions them. Traced the call through Verizon and will request subscriber information. Determined caller to be a credit collection company. Advised the subject to call the company and advise them to stop calling.

12:40 p.m., report of windows at a home in the 800 block of 10th Street are broken out, possibly by a paintball or ball.

2:39 p.m., civil dispute between landlord and tenant in the 1000 block of Southwest Fourth Street.

Feb. 23

8:39 a.m., report of a black and white Mustang speeding east on 11th Street. Speed estimated at 100 mph. Warned subject for speeding.

9:05 a.m., neighbor dispute in the 500 block of Edison Street. Neighbors having a problem with each other and a dog. Advised subject to take pictures next time for evidence.

9:14 a.m., Mast Brothers Towing removed a vehicle from the parking lot of Crazy Craig’s Fine Cars in the 800 block of Second Street at the property owner’s request. Drug paraphernalia found. Cited 20-year-old male for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

11:03 a.m., report of money stolen from savings account using a stolen ATM card.

11:09 a.m., vandalism to a mailbox was reported in the 700 block of 12th Court. Subject paid for damage to the mailbox.

2:01 p.m., complaint of someone burning rubber in the area of 12th and Ohio streets.

6:55 p.m., report of an intoxicated male in traffic on highway 42S; unable to locate.

11:33 p.m., loud party reported on the corner of Delaware and 10th streets. Report was taken of a 15-year-old male in possession of alcohol.

12:27 a.m., contacted two men at First and Elmira streets. Seized a small amount of marijuana and a glass pipe.

Feb. 24

6:36 p.m., possible theft of a weapon in the 700 block of Caroline Street.

Feb. 25

8:40 p.m., a purse was stolen in the 60 block of S.E. Michigan Avenue.

8:54 p.m., subject reports his son was chased by a pit bull from the south of town to Hardin Optical.
