Thursday, March 27, 2008 | No comments posted. Bandon’s girls tied for first-place in the Small Schools Invitational at Tiger Field on March 18, while the Tiger boys placed second.

Bandon’s teams are scheduled to compete in the Douglas Invitational at Winston today. No starting time was available. The Tigers are to compete in the Reedsport Invitational beginning at 4 p.m. on April 1, then will travel to the Coquille Invitational on April 4.

Beth Castro recorded the Tiger girls’ only first-place finish in the Small Schools meet, winning the pole vault with a height of 9 feet. She also placed second in the 100 high hurdles.

Others finishing in second-place for Bandon were Kacy Crook, 400 meters and pole vault; Briana Valentine, discus; and Julie Baker, triple jump.
