» Cross-country teams open with Oakland Invitational

The Bandon Tiger cross-country teams are scheduled to open their seasons today (Sept. 4) at 4 p.m. at the Oakland High School Invitational.

Bandon is scheduled to compete at North Bend (Tugman State Park) at 4 p.m. on Sept. 9 before hosting the Bandon Invitational at Bullards Beach State Park at 4 p.m. on Sept. 16. The Tigers are coached by Chuck McLauchlin.

Middle school schedule

The Harbor Lights Middle School cross-country teams are to open their season at the Ben Creek Invitational at Gold Beach at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Panthers will compete in the Pacific Invitational at 4 p.m. on Sept. 10, then will participate in the Bullards Run at home at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 16. The Panthers are coached by Amy Brown.

The Harbor Lights volleyball teams are scheduled to play in the North Bend Jamboree on Sept. 13, time to be announced. The Panthers are scheduled to play at Coquille at 4 p.m. on Sept. 15 and at Gold Beach (Riley Creek) at 4 p.m. on Sept. 17.

The seventh-grade team is coached by Mariah Vierck, while Rick Hinojosa directs the eighth-graders. The Panther football teams are scheduled to play in the North Bend Jamboree on Sept. 13, time TBA. Harbor Lights is scheduled to play at Coquille at 4 p.m. on Sept. 16 and at Gold Beach at 4 p.m. on Sept. 23. Harv Schubothe coaches the eighth-grade team, while Will Little directs the seventh-grade.
