A good New Year’s resolution is a yearly mammogram, according to Coos County Public Health.
The department provides the federally-funded Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program to eligible women 40-64 years of age. The program also provides breast cancer screening to eligible men with symptoms, such as a breast lump or discharge. The program will pay for an office visit, a pap smear, clinical breast exam and mammogram.
For questions regarding eligibility, call Renee Johnson at 756-2020, ext. 652.
