7:24 p.m., checked on a dog possibly in distress in a vehicle near Weber’s Pier; no problem.
10:15 a.m., assisted a man with a civil issue involving property he had stored for a friend; property returned to owner.
2:26 p.m., responded to a loud music complaint on Eighth Street Southwest; unable to locate.
4:04 p.m., took reports for first-degree burglary and theft from a Seaview Court resident; checks and other items taken from the home in the past two weeks; investigation continuing.
8:36 p.m., responded to an illegal fireworks complaint on Strawberry Drive; unable to locate.
June 24
1:25 a.m., responded to a reported fight near state Highway 42S and North Avenue; unable to locate.
1:36 a.m., located an intoxicated woman who’d been reported missing by a companion and returned her to a Beach Loop Drive motel.
June 256:36 a.m., report of a man and woman fighting at a Harlem Avenue residence; contact made; no crime.
7:26 a.m., removed a road hazard on U.S. Highway 101.
9:55 a.m., a Washington woman reported leaving her purse in a restroom at an Old Town business the previous evening; no purse turned in as of this morning.
12:09 p.m., noninjury accident reported in the parking lot of an Alabama Avenue business; information exchanged.
2:23 p.m., responded to a reported fight in front of the elementary school.
7:35 p.m., someone reported receiving threatening text messages.
June 2612:34 a.m., disturbance reported on Harvard Street.
2:50 a.m., did a welfare check on Ohio Avenue.
6:38 a.m., warned a driver about excessive speed on Third Street Southwest.
5:21 p.m., assisted a citizen who had questions about a custodial issue.
June 279:19 a.m., attempted a welfare check on an Edison Avenue resident; no one home.
10:04 a.m., received info about a dead seal or sea lion on the beach near Eighth Street stairway.
12:40 p.m., a Beach Loop Drive renter advised he could see something that looked like a life vest floating in the ocean; U.S. Coast Guard confirmed it was a crab float.
1:25 p.m., assisted a woman whose daughter had locked herself in handcuffs.
9:15 p.m., took a complaint about a white car traveling up and down 11th Street Southeast at very high speeds.
10:58 p.m., received a report of fireworks on the beach in the vicinity of Seabird Drive; unable to locate.
June 281:58 p.m., arrested a local man on a probation violation on Division Street; taken to jail.
7:24 p.m., noninjury motorcycle accident reported at Highway 101 and Kehl Road.
9:41 p.m., did a welfare check on Division Street; person was taken by Bay Cities Ambulance for medical treatment.
Coos County Sheriff’s Office
June 2211:35 a.m., received a report of “green water at Bullards Beach”; per Oregon Emergency Response System request, a Bullards Beach State Park ranger patrolled most of the riverbank and ocean beaches adjacent to the park; observed “green plumes” in water near park boat ramp and near river mouth; possible algea bloom; confirmed no waste spill from park’s disposal system or city’s wastewater treatment plant; appropriate agencies notified; no further action.
June 2310:43 p.m., received several incomplete 911 calls from the Bandon area; no voice; caller attempting to activate TTY; nothing further.
2:50 p.m., received a report of a road hazard near the intersection of Rosa and Twomile; advised road department.
2:38 a.m., noninjury accident reported near mile post 259 on U.S. Highway 101.
June 244:53 p.m., follow-up on codes violation on Tom Smith Road.
10:47 a.m., assisted local officer with a reported fight in progress near Highway 42S and North Avenue.
7:57 a.m., a woman requested assistance with a flat tire near Bullards Bridge; given phone number for local tow company.
3:35 a.m., received a report of a tree across Highway 42S at mile post six blocking both lanes; notified ODOT.
