Friends set up a chair and placed a beret on it for the late Airlee Owens, who used to sit every Friday waving a flag at the corner of U.S. Highway 101 near the entrance to the Bandon Shopping Center. Airlee Owens’ memorial service, held Saturday at the Bandon High School gym, was followed by a long procession to the Odd Fellows cemetery, led by police and fire personnel.
